Contact Lens Price in the Philippines: Daily, Monthly & Toric Costs

Quick answer: The Published Philippine prices are ₱220 for a pair of clear monthly contact lenses and ₱190 for a pair of colored monthly lenses at EO. Selected clear daily disposables cost ₱1,400–₱2,200 per box of 30 lenses, or ₱2,800–₱4,400 for 30 days in both eyes. Verified toric examples cost ₱2,495 per box, but the monthly version contains three lenses while the daily version contains 30. Compare the exact product, quantity and replacement schedule before deciding which is cheaper.
When it is used: Contact lenses sit directly on the eye to correct vision, including nearsightedness, farsightedness and, with suitable designs, astigmatism or age-related near-vision difficulty. People may wear them instead of eyeglasses for everyday activities or occasional events. Colored lenses change eye appearance and may come with or without corrective power. An optometrist or ophthalmologist should assess the prescription and fit, including for cosmetic lenses.

These are selected retailer listings, not national average prices. Fitting, solution, delivery and follow-up charges are separate unless the seller explicitly includes them. Available powers, colors and stock vary.
A box of 30 contact lenses is not 30 pairs. For daily disposables, it supplies one eye for 30 days—or both eyes for 15 days if both use exactly the same prescribed lens.

How much are contact lenses at EO?
EO’s published examples include ₱220 for clear monthly Vision UV lenses and ₱190 for colored monthly Flair lenses, each containing two lenses.
Its official FAQ also advertises astigmatism contact lenses starting at ₱3,580. That answer does not specify the pack size or replacement schedule, so ask the branch for both before comparing it with another retailer’s toric box.
What does “graded contact lens” mean?
A graded lens has corrective power. Both clear and colored lenses can be graded; “colored” does not automatically mean cosmetic-only.
For astigmatism, the prescription may require a toric lens with cylinder and axis values. Multifocal contacts address vision at more than one distance. Neither should be selected using only a glasses grade or the lowest price.
How Much Do Contact Lenses Cost for Both Eyes?
Daily contact lenses: 30 days of wear
You need 60 individual daily lenses to wear a fresh lens in each eye for 30 days.
| Clear daily lens | Cost of two 30-lens boxes |
|---|---|
| Qieto 1 Day | ₱2,800 |
| DAILIES AquaComfort Plus | ₱3,590 |
| ACUVUE 1-Day Moist | ₱4,190 |
| ACUVUE OASYS 1-Day with HydraLuxe | ₱4,400 |
These are calculated lens-only costs. Daily disposables are discarded after use, so they do not need a routine cleaning-and-storage solution budget.
Monthly contact lenses
A six-lens monthly box contains three pairs. If both eyes use the same prescribed lens, it provides three monthly replacement cycles.
For example, the ₱1,970 Air Optix HydraGlyde box works out to about ₱657 per month for both eyes, before solution.
If each eye has a different prescription, you generally buy a box for each eye. Two six-lens boxes cost ₱3,940 upfront and provide six monthly replacement cycles for both eyes. The average lens cost remains the same; the initial purchase is larger.
Toric contact lenses for astigmatism
The two EYE REP toric examples have the same box price but very different ongoing costs:
- Monthly toric: Two three-lens boxes cost ₱4,990, providing three monthly replacement cycles for both eyes—about ₱1,663 per month, plus care supplies.
- Daily toric: Two 30-lens boxes cost ₱4,990, providing 30 days of wear for both eyes.
These examples assume both eyes need the named product. If only one eye needs toric correction, calculate each eye separately.
How Much Do Contact Lenses Cost per Year?
Your budget depends on replacement frequency and how many whole packs you must buy.
Reusable lenses
| Product | Packs needed for both eyes | Calculated lens purchase cost |
|---|---|---|
| EO Vision UV monthly | 12 two-lens packs for 12 monthly replacements | ₱2,640 |
| Air Optix HydraGlyde monthly | 4 six-lens boxes for 12 monthly replacements | ₱7,880 |
| Air Optix plus HydraGlyde monthly toric | 8 three-lens boxes for 12 monthly replacements | ₱19,960 |
| ACUVUE OASYS two-week | 9 six-lens boxes if both eyes use identical lenses; 10 if separate prescriptions require whole boxes | ₱18,000–₱20,000 |
Monthly estimates assume 12 replacement cycles. The two-week estimate allows 27 lenses per eye to cover 365 days when each lens is replaced every 14 days; whole-box purchasing can leave spares.
Add cleaning supplies, fitting and follow-up costs. These products are not interchangeable merely because one is cheaper; use the lens your practitioner has fitted and prescribed.
Daily disposable lenses
For 365 days in both eyes, you use 730 daily lenses. Buying only 30-lens boxes means:
- 25 boxes if both eyes use exactly the same prescribed lens.
- 26 boxes if each eye needs its own prescription: 13 boxes per eye.
| Clear daily product | 25 boxes: identical prescription | 26 boxes: separate prescriptions |
|---|---|---|
| Qieto 1 Day | ₱35,000 | ₱36,400 |
| DAILIES AquaComfort Plus | ₱44,875 | ₱46,670 |
| ACUVUE 1-Day Moist | ₱52,375 | ₱54,470 |
| ACUVUE OASYS 1-Day with HydraLuxe | ₱55,000 | ₱57,200 |
These are whole-box purchase budgets starting with no spare lenses, not just the proportional value of lenses used. Leftover unopened lenses may carry into the following year, subject to expiry and an unchanged prescription.
Promotions, larger packs, damaged lenses and prescription changes can alter the total.
What if I wear lenses only occasionally?
Daily disposables can be practical for occasional use because you open a fresh pair only when needed. For example, a person wearing contacts eight days in a month uses 16 daily lenses in total, although the initial purchase still involves whole boxes.
Monthly lenses do not become “30 separate days of wear.” Follow the replacement interval after opening or starting use specified by the manufacturer and your practitioner, even if you wear them only on weekends.
Eye Check, Contact Lens Fitting and Solution Costs
A contact lens fitting checks how a particular lens sits on your eye, how well you see through it and whether you can insert, remove and care for it correctly.
EO advertises free eye check-ups, but this does not establish that every contact lens fitting, trial pair or follow-up is included. Ask the branch before booking.
We did not verify a consistent published fitting-fee range from the providers used in this guide. Request a separate quotation instead of assuming a free eye test covers the complete fitting.
| Possible extra | What to confirm |
|---|---|
| Fitting and trial lenses | Whether these are included in the purchase |
| Follow-up visit | Whether a fit or comfort review costs extra |
| Cleaning solution | Which care system suits the prescribed reusable lens |
| Storage case | Whether it comes with the solution |
| Lubricating drops | Whether recommended drops are compatible with contacts |
| Delivery | Shipping fee and any minimum order |
| Replacement lenses | Policies for torn lenses, wrong orders and unopened boxes |
EO Flexwear All-in-One solution is listed at ₱95–₱210 across its bottle options. This is a price per bottle, not an estimated monthly expense.
Use the cleaning system your eye-care professional recommends. Daily disposable lenses should not be cleaned and stored for reuse.
Buying Contact Lenses Safely in the Philippines
Contact lenses are medical devices, including colored lenses without corrective power. Get a professional assessment before your first purchase or before switching to a different lens.
The Philippine FDA’s medical-device retailer rules address prescription and professional dispensing requirements for ophthalmic products. Use the FDA Verification Portal to check relevant product and establishment records.
Before ordering, confirm the exact brand, model, power, base curve and diameter prescribed for you. Toric and multifocal prescriptions involve additional parameters. An eyeglass prescription alone does not confirm which contact lens will fit.
Follow these contact lens care practices:
- Wash and dry your hands before handling lenses.
- Remove lenses before showering or swimming.
- Avoid sleeping in lenses unless your eye-care professional specifically directs it.
- Use fresh recommended disinfecting solution for reusable lenses; do not top up old solution.
- Follow the replacement schedule and lens-case care instructions.
- Never extend a lens’s life to reduce the cost.
Remove your lenses and contact an eye doctor immediately if you develop eye pain, redness, light sensitivity or sudden blurry vision. These can be signs of a contact lens-related eye infection.
Does PhilHealth or an HMO Cover Contact Lenses?
PhilHealth
Do not assume PhilHealth membership provides a retail contact-lens allowance. The official optometric benefit reviewed covers eligible children ages 0–15 for vision assessment and possible prescription eyeglasses through the required referral and accredited-provider process. It does not establish coverage for ordinary adult purchases of disposable or cosmetic contact lenses.
For lenses prescribed to manage a specific medical condition, ask the treating facility about the exact benefit and eligibility.
HMO or employer benefits
Ask whether your plan has an optical allowance or reimbursement benefit and whether it specifically includes contact lenses.
Confirm the annual limit, accredited providers, prescription requirements and receipt requirements. Coverage for an eye consultation does not automatically mean that lenses, solution or fitting are covered. A store discount is also different from insurance reimbursement.
Before You Buy: Questions to Ask
- Is this the exact lens prescribed and fitted for my eyes?
- Is the price per lens, pair or box?
- How many individual lenses are included?
- What is the replacement schedule?
- Do I need separate boxes for each eye?
- Are fitting, trial lenses and follow-up included?
- How much will the appropriate solution and case cost?
- Is my prescription in stock, or does it require a special order?
- Can I use an optical allowance or reimbursement benefit?
- What is the return policy for unopened boxes?
Compare the same model and quantity across stores. Confirm fit before buying several boxes, and check expiry dates before accepting a bulk offer.
Frequently Asked Questions
Which is cheaper: daily or monthly contact lenses?
For regular use, the monthly examples in this guide have lower lens costs than the daily examples, even before comparing promotions. However, reusable lenses need cleaning supplies, while daily lenses may suit occasional wear. Your practitioner should confirm which options fit your eyes.
How long does a box of 30 contact lenses last?
A box of 30 daily lenses lasts 30 days for one eye or 15 days for both eyes if both use identical lenses. With different prescriptions, one box for each eye provides 30 days for both eyes.
Can people with astigmatism wear contact lenses?
Yes. Toric lenses are designed for astigmatism and require a proper prescription and fitting. Verified examples here are ₱2,495 for three monthly toric lenses or ₱2,495 for 30 daily toric lenses.
Do zero-grade colored contact lenses need fitting?
Yes. They still sit on the eye and can cause problems if they fit poorly or are handled incorrectly. Get professional advice even if you only want to change your eye color.
Is “daily wear” the same as “daily disposable”?
No. Daily wear means lenses are worn while awake and removed for sleep. Daily disposable means a lens is used for one day and discarded. A reusable monthly lens can be a daily-wear lens.
Can I buy contact lenses online?
Established optical retailers offer online ordering. Have your prescription and fit confirmed first, then order the exact prescribed product from a legitimate seller. Check product records, expiry, packaging and the seller’s prescription process.
How CareCostPH Checked These Prices
CareCostPH reviewed available public product pages and FAQs from Executive Optical, EYE REP Express and Majorlens PH on October 24, 2026. We checked prices, pack quantities and replacement schedules separately.
Both-eye and annual figures are our calculations from the listed prices. Daily annual budgets use 365 days and round purchases up to whole boxes; monthly budgets use 12 replacement cycles.
We did not call stores, verify stock at individual branches or confirm checkout prices for every prescription. Medical guidance was checked against CDC contact lens resources, and the children’s optometric benefit against PhilHealth’s official advisory.
Prices can change. Confirm the current price, pack size and inclusions before paying. Your eye-care professional should determine the appropriate prescription, fit and replacement schedule.
