Dermatologist Consultation Price Philippines: Clinic Fees & Free Options

Dermatologist examining a patient’s cheek, beside the title “Dermatologist Check-Up Price in the Philippines.”

Quick answer: Dermatologist check-up fees at selected private clinics in the Philippines are from ₱500–₱1,575, while selected online consultations cost ₱450–₱700. Follow-up fees depend on the doctor; ALO Dermatology lists ₱500, compared with ₱1,000 for new patients. For a public option, PGH’s 2026 Citizen’s Charter lists no consultation fee for new and returning dermatology patients.

When it is used: A dermatologist assesses conditions affecting the skin, hair and nails, including acne, eczema, persistent rashes, fungal infections and hair loss. You can also book a consultation for warts, nail changes or a mole that has changed. The doctor reviews your symptoms and medical history, examines the affected area, and discusses treatment or further testing.

These are published provider rates, not nationwide averages or guaranteed quotations. The private-clinic range runs from a ₱500 appointment listed in Bayambang to Derma360’s ₱1,575 initial consultation.

Most private listings do not state an effective date. Ask whether the displayed amount includes platform, booking or facility charges.

Dermatologist Consultation Fees by Doctor and Clinic

A doctor may charge different fees at different clinics. Hospital-based figures below belong to the named doctor’s listing, not every dermatologist at that hospital.

Dr. Ong’s page displays one fee alongside clinic and online booking options. Confirm which appointment types that amount covers. Booking pages are price references, not confirmation of an available slot. Contact the clinic before traveling or paying.

Online dermatologist consultation prices

ProviderListed online fee
Dr. Nica Minerva Olivar-Floro₱450
Dr. Donna May Sarenas₱450–₱500
Dr. Andrea Isabel Contreras₱500–₱700
Doctor Anywhere Philippines₱699
Dr. Bless Noelle Serquina₱700

These are online consultation rates. For example, Dr. Contreras’ Davao clinic listings do not publish an in-person fee, so her online range should not be presented as a walk-in price.

Premium and aesthetic-clinic consultations

Belo Medical Group lists physician consultations starting at ₱1,500 in person and ₱1,000 virtually. An appointment with Dr. Vicki Belo is listed separately at ₱2,000.

These examples are more useful than an unsupported nationwide “premium clinic” range. Ask who will see you and whether the appointment is for a medical skin concern, cosmetic advice or a treatment assessment.

Is There a Free Dermatologist Consultation?

PGH dermatology outpatient services

The UP-PGH 2026 Citizen’s Charter, sixth edition lists no consultation fee for both new and returning dermatology outpatients.

A Blue Card is among the requirements. Check PGH’s current registration and appointment instructions before visiting. Its website links to the Online Consultation Request and Appointment system, or OCRA.

The charter’s processing-time estimate does not guarantee how quickly you will obtain an appointment or finish your visit. A no-fee consultation also does not mean every medicine, test or procedure is free.

For other public hospitals, ask the outpatient department whether dermatology services are available, how to register, and what charges or assistance arrangements apply.

Conditional consultation waivers

Kamiseta Skin Clinic lists a ₱1,000 consultation fee, waived if you undergo treatment. That means the consultation fee may be removed from the bill, but the treatment still costs money. Ask for the complete quotation before deciding whether to proceed.

What Does the Consultation Fee Cover?

A dermatologist check-up generally includes:

  • Discussion of your symptoms, medical history and previous treatment.
  • Examination of the affected skin, hair or nails.
  • An explanation of the findings and likely next steps.
  • A prescription or treatment plan when appropriate.

Some conditions require tests before the doctor can confirm a diagnosis. Ask whether reviewing those results requires a paid follow-up appointment.

Medical versus cosmetic dermatology

Medical consultations address concerns such as eczema, psoriasis, infections, acne, hair loss and suspicious skin changes. Cosmetic appointments may focus on pigmentation, scars, wrinkles or appearance-related treatments. Some concerns overlap, so explain your reason for booking.

HMO coverage depends on your plan, the diagnosis and the accredited provider. Do not assume approval for a medical consultation also covers a facial, peel, laser session or injectable treatment.

You can request a consultation without committing to a treatment package.

What May Cost Extra?

Possible extraWhat to confirm
Prescription medicinesPrice, quantity and duration of treatment
Skin-care productsWhich are necessary and whether suitable lower-cost alternatives exist
Comedone or pimple extractionWhether this is a separately booked procedure
Wart removal or electrocauteryHow the number, size and location of lesions affect the fee
Skin scraping or other testsWhether collection and laboratory charges are separate
Skin biopsyWhether the quotation includes the procedure, supplies and pathology
PhototherapyCharge per session and expected treatment schedule
Medical certificateWhether an additional fee applies and whether the doctor can appropriately issue it
Follow-up consultationFee and time limit for qualifying as a follow-up
Booking or facility chargesWhether they are already included in the displayed fee

For one documented procedure example, Bicol Medical Center’s 2026 Citizen’s Charter lists comedone extraction at ₱1,220. This is a specific hospital service charge, not an all-inclusive acne-treatment budget or a nationwide rate.

A medical certificate can also be separate: Dr. Donna May Sarenas’ booking FAQ lists an additional ₱150, issued only for valid reasons after consultation.

Ask for an itemized estimate before any same-day procedure. Our mole removal price guide explains related removal and biopsy costs. If allergy testing is recommended, see the allergy test price guide.

How much should you budget for consultation and follow-up?

At ALO Dermatology, the published ₱1,000 first-visit fee plus one ₱500 follow-up totals ₱1,500 in consultation charges.

This is a calculation, not a clinic package. Medicines, tests and procedures are additional. There is no single reliable “consultation plus medicines” total because treatment depends on the assessment.

How to Check Your Dermatologist’s Credentials

Use the Philippine Dermatological Society directory to check the doctor’s name and listed specialty information.

You may see DPDS, meaning Diplomate of the Philippine Dermatological Society, or FPDS, meaning Fellow of the Philippine Dermatological Society, after a doctor’s name. Verify the credentials rather than relying only on a clinic’s branding or social-media advertisement.

Ask whether the appointment is with a dermatologist. A facial, skin-analyzer session or product consultation may be a different service.

Online or In-Person: Which Should You Choose?

An online consultation can be practical for a visible concern that photographs well or a follow-up the doctor agrees to handle remotely. Prepare clear, well-lit photographs without beauty filters and a list of your symptoms and current products.

An in-person visit may be necessary when the doctor needs a closer examination, the images are insufficient, or a test or procedure is being considered.

The dermatologist decides whether remote assessment is adequate. If an online appointment leads to an in-person referral, ask whether another consultation fee applies.

Does PhilHealth Cover Dermatologist Check-Ups?

PhilHealth coverage depends on the service and facility. A PhilHealth card does not automatically make an independently booked private dermatologist consultation free.

YAKAP provides primary care assessment and referral when needed. Under PhilHealth’s January 8, 2026 advisory:

  • Covered YAKAP primary care services at public YAKAP clinics should be free.
  • Members empaneled to private YAKAP clinics have an applicable co-payment cap of ₱900 per member per year.

These rules apply to covered YAKAP services, not every specialist appointment.

PGH’s 2026 charter also describes a PhilHealth pathway for certain outpatient dermatological procedures, including biopsy and dermatologic surgery/excision. The hospital must assess eligibility and charges; this does not establish that every skin procedure is fully paid.

HMO Coverage and Senior/PWD Discounts

Using your HMO

Confirm that both the doctor and the clinic are accredited for your plan. Ask whether you need a referral or letter of authorization, and whether your particular concern is covered.

One published example is Doctor Anywhere’s Maxicare member service, which advertises fully covered specialist video consultations, including dermatology, without an LOA. Link your membership and confirm eligibility before booking.

Ask separately about medicines, tests and procedures. Benefits can differ even when the consultation itself is covered.

Senior citizen and PWD privileges

Eligible senior citizens and PWDs can receive the 20% discount and VAT exemption, where applicable, on qualifying medical services and doctors’ professional fees, subject to the relevant requirements.

Bring valid identification and request an itemized bill. Do not assume cosmetic services and retail products receive identical treatment.

See the official guidance from the National Commission of Senior Citizens and National Council on Disability Affairs.

Prepare for Your First Visit

Bring a list of medicines, supplements and skin-care products, previous prescriptions or test results, and notes on when the problem began. Photos can help if symptoms come and go.

Avoid covering the area to be examined with makeup. Remove nail polish if your concern involves your nails. Bring your HMO documents or referral when required.

Tell the doctor your budget early. Ask which parts of the proposed treatment are essential and what alternatives are appropriate. These preparation steps follow American Academy of Dermatology guidance.

How CareCostPH Checked These Prices

CareCostPH reviewed publicly available sources on October 24, 2026, including:

  • Named dermatologists’ booking profiles on SeriousMD/NowServing and CloudPx.
  • Official consultation information from Derma360, Kamiseta Skin Clinic, Belo Medical Group and Doctor Anywhere.
  • UP-PGH’s 2026 Citizen’s Charter, sixth edition, including dermatology consultations and outpatient procedures.
  • The indexed comedone-extraction entry in Bicol Medical Center’s 2026 Citizen’s Charter.
  • Official PDS, PhilHealth, HMO-service and discount guidance.

The PDS free-teledermatology directory is dated 2023, so current availability must be confirmed. Most private price listings do not provide an effective date. We did not call or visit clinics or verify appointment availability.

These are selected published examples, not a national price survey.

Before You Book

Ask the clinic:

  1. What is the fee for a new patient and for a follow-up?
  2. Is the appointment with a dermatologist?
  3. Is the quote for an online or in-person visit?
  4. Are booking or facility charges included?
  5. Are medicines, certificates, tests and procedures separate?
  6. Does my HMO cover this doctor and concern?
  7. If the consultation is waived, what treatment or purchase is required?
  8. What documents do I need for a public appointment or discount?

Prices are for general information and can change. Confirm the current fee and inclusions with the provider. Medical decisions should be discussed with a qualified dermatologist.
