How Much Is a Jacket Crown in the Philippines? Prices by Material

A jacket crown in the Philippines can cost anywhere from about ₱3,000 to ₱35,000+ per tooth, depending mostly on the material.
Current clinic prices reviewed by CareCost PH include:
- Acrylic/plastic: around ₱3,000
- Porcelain-fused-to-metal (PFM): around ₱6,000–₱18,000
- All-ceramic/full porcelain: around ₱13,000–₱15,000 in current examples
- E.max: around ₱20,000–₱30,000
- Zirconia: around ₱12,000–₱35,000+
The biggest mistake when comparing quotes is looking only at the number. If one dentist says “Jacket crown is ₱6,500,” and another says, “Jacket crown is ₱25,000,” they may not be offering the same material at all.
Ask:
“What exact crown material is included in that price?”
That one question makes crown quotations much easier to compare.

Michael Quilantang Dental Clinic publishes one of the most detailed crown menus we found, from ₱3,000 plastic crowns to ₱25,000 zirconia crowns. (Michael Quilantang Dental Clinic)
Smile More currently lists a zirconia crown at ₱35,000 per unit. (Smile More Dental Clinic)

What Does “Jacket Crown” Mean?
In the Philippines, people often use the words jacket, crown, and cap to describe a dental crown. A crown covers most or all of the visible part of a prepared tooth. But “jacket crown” does not tell you what material will be used.
That material could be:
- acrylic or plastic;
- porcelain fused to metal;
- Tilite;
- Ceramage;
- full porcelain;
- E.max;
- zirconia.
That is why two jacket crown quotations can differ by ₱10,000 or even ₱20,000.
Quick Price Guide by Crown Material
| Crown Material | Current Published Price Context | Main Thing to Ask |
|---|---|---|
| Acrylic / plastic | around ₱3,000 | Temporary or final crown? |
| PFM | about ₱6,000–₱18,000 | What metal/alloy is used? |
| Ceramage | from ₱15,000 | Is this the final lab-made restoration? |
| All ceramic / full porcelain | around ₱13,000–₱15,000 in one detailed clinic menu | What ceramic system is it? |
| E.max | about ₱20,000–₱30,000 | Is it genuine lithium disilicate/E.max? |
| Zirconia | about ₱12,000–₱35,000+ | What type of zirconia and what is included? |
The price ranges above come from the provider prices reviewed for this article. They should not be read as a fixed national fee schedule.
If you are also planning dental veneers, it helps to compare the full treatment cost early. You can check the veneers price in the Philippines.
Acrylic or Plastic Jacket Crown Price
Acrylic and plastic crowns sit at the lower end of current published prices.
- Smile Essentials lists: Acrylic crown — ₱3,000 per tooth
- Michael Quilantang Dental Clinic lists: Plastic crown — ₱3,000 per tooth
Acrylic can also be used for temporary restorations, so don’t assume every ₱3,000 acrylic crown is intended to be your long-term final crown.
PFM Crown Price
PFM means porcelain fused to metal. It has a metal base covered with tooth-colored porcelain.
Current providers include
- Michael Quilantang Dental Clinic: ₱6,000–₱7,000
- Smile Essentials: ₱6,500
- Gacis Dental Clinic: ₱15,000–₱18,000
That is a large spread for the same broad crown category. Part of the difference can come from:
- metal alloy;
- dental laboratory;
- crown design;
- clinic fees;
- what is included in the package.
If you’re comparing two PFM quotes, ask:
“What metal is used underneath the porcelain?”
What Is a Tilite Crown?
You may come across Tilite on Philippine dental clinic price lists. Michael Quilantang Dental Clinic currently ₱15,000 per tooth. (Michael Quilantang Dental Clinic)
Don’t compare Tilite, PFM, E.max and zirconia as if they are simply four prices for the same product. Ask the dentist why a particular material is being recommended for your tooth.
Full Porcelain and All-Ceramic Crowns
The terms full porcelain and all ceramic are not always used the same way by every clinic.
One current clinic menu lists:
- All ceramic — ₱13,000
- Full porcelain — ₱15,000
- while E.max is listed separately at: ₱20,000–₱23,000. (Michael Quilantang Dental Clinic)
So if your quote simply says “Porcelain jacket — ₱15,000” ask what type of porcelain or ceramic it actually is.
For missing teeth that need a more affordable replacement, some patients choose dentures instead of fixed work. You can check the dentures price to compare.
E.max Crown Price
E.max is a lithium-disilicate ceramic used for highly aesthetic restorations. Current published rates include:
- Michael Quilantang Dental Clinic — ₱20,000–₱23,000
- Easethetic Dental Lounge — ₱25,000
- Tooth&Go CAD/CAM E.max — ₱25,280
- Gacis Dental Clinic — E.max/zirconia from ₱30,000
Tooth&Go’s current booking system lists E.max CAD/CAM — ₱25,280. (Tooth&Go). A useful planning range from the providers reviewed is therefore roughly ₱20,000–₱30,000 per tooth for E.max.
Zirconia Crown Price
Zirconia prices vary even more. Current costs include:
- Smile Essentials — ₱12,000
- Michael Quilantang Dental Clinic — ₱25,000
- Tooth&Go CAD/CAM — ₱25,280
- Gacis Dental Clinic — from ₱30,000
- Smile More Dental Clinic — ₱35,000
Smile More’s current price is especially useful because it clearly states Single zirconia crown — ₱35,000 per tooth. (Smile More). So if you’ve received a zirconia quotation between roughly ₱12,000 and ₱35,000, similar prices can be found in current Philippine clinic listings.
That does not mean every crown within that range is identical.
Why Can One Zirconia Crown Cost ₱12,000 and Another ₱35,000?
The price gap is real. But price alone does not tell you which crown is better. Differences may involve:
- zirconia type;
- laboratory;
- digital design;
- milling system;
- tooth complexity;
- dentist’s professional fee;
- clinic overhead;
- what is already included.
Smile More itself notes that a higher fee does not automatically mean a better crown, and a lower fee does not automatically mean poor quality. (Smile More) Get an itemized quote and compare the same crown material.
Why Your Dentist May Quote Different Materials
There isn’t one crown material that is automatically best for every tooth. For a visible front tooth, appearance, shade matching and translucency may be important.
For a back tooth, chewing forces and the amount of remaining tooth structure may carry more weight. After a root canal, the dentist also has to consider how much healthy tooth remains. That is why your dentist may offer two or three materials at different prices.
Ask:
“Why are you recommending this material for this specific tooth?”
A useful answer should be about your tooth, not simply about which option costs the most.
The Crown Price May Not Be Your Final Bill
This is one of the most important things to know before treatment. A crown quotation may cover only the crown. Depending on the condition of the tooth, you might also need:
- X-ray;
- root canal;
- core build-up;
- fiber post;
- temporary crown;
- gum treatment;
- removal of an old crown.
Not everyone needs these.
Current examples
Michael Quilantang Dental Clinic lists Root canal treatment at ₱6,000 and Fiber post — ₱3,000–₱3,500 separately from crown pricing.
Smile Essentials lists:
- Anterior root canal — ₱6,000
- Premolar root canal — ₱12,000
- Molar root canal — ₱18,000–₱24,000
separately from its crown prices. (Smile Essentials)
So if somebody tells you“My crown cost ₱25,000,” their entire treatment may actually have cost much more.
Temporary Crown Price
A temporary crown protects the prepared tooth while a laboratory-made crown is being completed. Some clinics include it. Others charge separately.
Smile More currently publishes temporary crowns at ₱1,800–₱2,500 when one is needed. (Smile More) Gacis Dental Clinic has also separately listed temporary crowns at around ₱3,000 per unit. Before treatment starts, ask:
“Is the temporary crown already included in the permanent crown price?”
Root Canal + Crown: Ask for the Total
A root canal and a crown are separate procedures. If you need both, ask for a written breakdown. For example:
| Treatment Component | Example Published Price |
|---|---|
| Root canal | ₱6,000+, depending on tooth/provider |
| Fiber post | ₱3,000–₱3,500 in one clinic |
| Temporary crown | ₱1,800–₱3,000 in current examples |
| Final crown | ₱3,000–₱35,000+, depending on material |
Do not add these numbers yourself and assume that is what your dentist will charge. They come from different clinics and different cases. The table simply shows why the crown price alone may not equal the final treatment cost.
Does Every Root-Canal-Treated Tooth Need a Crown?
Not automatically. The American Association of Endodontists notes that whether a tooth needs a full crown after root-canal treatment depends on the tooth and the amount of remaining structure. (American Association of Endodontists)
Ask your dentist:
“Why does this tooth need a crown after the root canal?”
A good treatment plan should explain that.
A crown is often placed after a root canal to protect the treated tooth. You can check the root canal price in the Philippines for the first part of that treatment.
What Is a Post and Core?
Sometimes very little natural tooth structure remains after decay, fracture or root-canal treatment. The dentist may need to rebuild enough of the tooth to support the crown. This can involve a core build-up and, in selected cases, a post.
Michael Quilantang Dental Clinic currently lists Fiber post — ₱3,000–₱3,500 separately from the final crown. (Michael Quilantang Dental Clinic).
If your treatment plan includes a post, ask why it is needed and whether the price is already included.
A Crown Is Not the Same as a Bridge
One crown usually covers one prepared tooth. A bridge can involve several connected crown units. This matters when you’re comparing prices. Smile More currently charges a zirconia crown at ₱35,000 per unit and lists a 3-unit zirconia bridge — ₱105,000, which is three units × ₱35,000. (Smile More)
A three-unit bridge may replace one missing tooth but still involve three billable units. So if your dentist quotes “3 units,” ask exactly which teeth and replacement tooth those units represent.
How Long Does Getting a Jacket Crown Take?
A conventional crown often takes more than one appointment. A typical process may involve:
- examination and treatment planning;
- tooth preparation;
- impression or digital scan;
- temporary crown when needed;
- laboratory fabrication;
- fitting and cementation of the final crown.
Some clinics using CAD/CAM can shorten the process. Tooth&Go currently lists CAD/CAM E.max and zirconia crown services designed for faster digital fabrication. (Tooth&Go) Don’t assume your crown will be ready the same day.
Ask:
“How long will the final crown take, and will I have a temporary crown while I wait?”
Crown or Filling?
A filling repairs a damaged part of a tooth. A crown covers much more of the tooth. If the tooth can still be restored properly with a filling, that treatment usually costs far less than a crown.
CareCost PH’s Tooth Filling Price Philippines guide shows simple filling prices starting from only a few hundred pesos at some government facilities and around ₱1,000–₱3,000 in several current private-clinic examples.
A crown should not be chosen simply because it appears stronger or more expensive. The amount of remaining tooth structure matters.
Looking for a Lower-Cost Crown?
There is no magic “cheap crown” that suits every tooth, but there are sensible ways to compare prices.
Compare the same material
Do not compare ₱6,500 PFM with ₱25,000 zirconia and conclude that one clinic is four times more expensive. They are different products.
Ask for an all-in quote
Find out whether the fee includes:
- scan/impression;
- laboratory fee;
- temporary crown;
- fitting;
- cementation;
- adjustment.
Get another written quote
If the treatment is not urgent, comparing two or three written treatment plans can help you understand whether the difference is:
- material;
- added procedures;
- or simply clinic pricing.
Ask university dental clinics
Dental schools and teaching clinics may offer lower-cost treatment in some cases. Availability, eligibility and waiting time vary, so contact the institution directly instead of assuming crown treatment is available.
Does PhilHealth Cover Jacket Crowns?
CareCost PH found no dental crown benefit in PhilHealth’s current Preventive Oral Health Benefit Package. PhilHealth’s current oral-health benefit includes services such as:
- mouth examination/oral screening;
- dental cleaning;
- fluoride varnish;
- pit-and-fissure sealant or Class V/root-surface restoration when applicable;
- emergency tooth extraction.
Crowns are not among the listed services. (PhilHealth) So do not assume your normal outpatient jacket crown will be paid simply because you are a PhilHealth member.
Does an HMO Cover Jacket Crowns?
Possibly, but it depends on the plan. General dental coverage does not automatically mean the crown itself is included. Before treatment, ask your HMO:
- Is this clinic accredited?
- Are crowns covered?
- Which crown materials are eligible?
- Is the laboratory fee included?
- Is there an annual limit?
- Do I need an LOA or pre-approval?
- Is there a co-payment?
Get the answer before the tooth is prepared.
Senior Citizen and PWD Discounts
Qualified senior citizens and PWDs have statutory benefits for eligible medical and dental services. A crown bill, however, may contain several parts:
- dentist’s professional fee;
- crown material;
- laboratory fabrication;
- temporary crown;
- related procedures.
Ask the clinic to apply the correct benefit to your actual bill rather than simply subtracting 20% from an online crown price. Bring your valid ID before payment.
Questions to Ask Before You Agree to a Crown
You do not need to ask twenty questions. These ten cover most price surprises:
- What exact material is this crown?
- Is the price per tooth or per unit?
- Is the laboratory fee included?
- Is the temporary crown included?
- Are X-rays or digital scans included?
- Do I need a root canal first?
- Do I need a post or core build-up?
- How long will the final crown take?
- What warranty or remake policy applies?
- What is my total estimated bill in writing?
If you are getting a bridge, also ask “How many crown units am I paying for?”

Do I Always Need a Root Canal Before a Crown?
No. A crown and root canal are separate treatments. Whether a root canal is needed depends on the condition of the tooth and pulp.
Does PhilHealth Cover a Jacket Crown?

How CareCost PH Checked These Prices
CareCost PH reviewed ranking pages for jacket crown price Philippines and related crown-cost searches first to understand what Filipino patients are trying to compare.
We then checked current provider-published pricing from clinics including:
- Smile Essentials;
- Michael Quilantang Dental Clinic;
- Easethetic Dental Lounge;
- Tooth&Go;
- Gacis Dental Clinic;
- Smile More Dental Clinic.
Direct clinic prices were prioritized over general market estimates.
For example, Tooth&Go’s live booking page currently lists:
E.max CAD/CAM — ₱25,280 and Zirconia CAD/CAM — ₱25,280,
so these direct service prices are used instead of broader editorial ranges from generic crown-price guides. (Tooth&Go) Older or secondary price guides were used mainly to identify useful questions and content gaps, not to manufacture a national average.
PhilHealth coverage was checked against current official oral-health benefit information. CareCost PH did not call clinics or claim to have visited them.
Prices checked: October 1, 2026.
For more information, see How We Research Prices on CareCostPH.com.
Before You Pay
If one dentist quotes ₱6,500 and another quotes ₱25,000, don’t ask only “Why is this clinic more expensive?” First ask whether the two dentists are quoting the same crown material.
Then check material + number of units + root canal/post/core + temporary crown + lab fees + total bill That will tell you much more than the headline price.
A ₱6,500 PFM crown and a ₱25,000 zirconia or E.max crown can both be reasonable prices for completely different restorations.
Dental note: Prices can change, and the appropriate crown material depends on the tooth, remaining tooth structure, bite and treatment goals. Confirm the current quotation and treatment plan with a licensed dentist.
Many patients ask about dental retainers during the same course of dental treatment. You can check the dental retainer cost to complete your dental budget.
